South Asian Sports in conjunction with Islamic Center of Long Island, MDQ Academy, Crescent School, and Masjid Darul Quraan hosted a clinic with New York Knicks center Enes Kanter for over 170 boys and girls.
Enes Kanter covered a wide variety of topics from who is better Kobe or Lebron…? To what his faith means to him while playing basketball. Enes took the kids in a variety of drills from shooting to passing, to an interesting game of Simon says using clapping and a basketball!
After the hour-plus session was complete, there was Question and Answer session where clinic attendees asked questions such as, what has been your favorite team to play for? The quick answer to that question, The Knicks! To how he improves as a basketball player – adding the three-point shot this offseason.
The session ended with every attendee taking pictures with Enes Kanter and getting their gear autographed by him.
All of the organizations involved would like to thank Enes Kanter for coming to visit us and running this clinic for the kids!
After the event Enes Kanter posted on his social media about the event!
